Why is the DHA so high in this recipe (0.10 %)?
Salmon and menhaden meal are naturally rich in marine omega-3s (EPA and DHA). This recipe has the highest DHA in the GoodBowl dog range (0.10 % vs 0.02-0.05 % in the Chicken and Beef recipes). Excellent for skin, coat, brain, and joints.
Why baked?
The baking (baked kibble) is a gentler method than industrial extrusion. It better preserves texture, flavor, and some nutrients. Kibble is generally crunchier and easier to digest.
