The position: assistant manager and floor lead

During the week, you’re part of the team. On Saturdays (and when managers are away), you become a key person on the floor: you set the tone, keep the team efficient, and make sure customers get the kind of service that sets us apart.

🐕 Your role

  • You are the go-to person on the floor
  • You keep the team efficient, motivated, and focused
  • You make sure every customer receives outstanding service
  • You actively advise customers: you make suggestions, you don’t just answer questions

Your responsibilities

  • Take the lead on the floor on Saturdays
  • Manage the floor in the managers' absence
  • Deliver top-level customer service (advice and in-store sales)
  • Perform nail trims (dogs and cats)
  • Maintain a productive team and a positive atmosphere
  • Manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Prepare web orders (during the week)
  • Take part in daily tasks: checkout, receiving, store maintenance, etc.

The profile we’re looking for

  • Natural leadership
  • Ability to make decisions and manage priorities

  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, demanding environment
  • Strong interest in advice and sales
  • Reliable, autonomous, and resourceful

Requirements

  • Experience in team management or a leadership role: minimum 1 year
  • Experience in customer service: minimum 1 year
  • Sales experience: a major asset
  • Good physical condition (25 to 35 lbs regularly)
  • Comfortable with animals (dogs and cats)
