Why a specific small-breed recipe?
Small-breed dogs have a faster metabolism than large breeds: they burn more calories per kilogram of body weight. A recipe higher in calories and protein is therefore suited to their needs. The mini kibble is also better suited to their jaws and makes chewing easier.

Why ancient grains instead of wheat or corn?
Barley, brown rice, and quinoa are true ancient whole grains, cultivated for thousands of years. Unlike modern wheat and corn, they are minimally processed, better tolerated, and offer a much richer nutritional profile. They are also easier to digest than conventional grains.
